I read on another board about a good idea. If you could ask anyone that didn't survive the battle, what two questions would you ask, and who would you ask them to?  |

I'd Ask GAC, in his view, was the orders he gave Reno be better served if Benteen was given the assignment.
Were you,(GAC), mortally wounded crossing the LBH river?

What a great idea. There are so many questions that pops to the mind that it boggles the imagination. One question that I would ask the General is when did you realize that no help was coming and, what were your thoughts at that time?

I would ask Custer how many times do you think you looked south for Benteen and Reno's help after leaving Luce Ridge ? ( Sarcasm alert) How many times did your neck and head swivel 360 degrees on Last Stand Hill ? Did you ever think you would have a bad hair day ?

One can only guess. My thought would be that the true answers would be not as exciting as what the imagination could produce.
I can say without a whole lot of uncertainty, that GAC was wondering when the hell is Benteen going to arrive, it's getting way too sporty here.

Thanks WB (nice teeth) but did you hear the one about the billionaire who asked an artist to paint a picture of what he thought would represent Custers last thought on LSH ? When the painting was unvieled to the billionaire he was irate because it showed a cow with a halo and hundreds od Indians in nude poses."What kind of filth is this he asked ?" The artist said "its Custers last thought painting you asked for called HOLY COW WHERE DID ALL THOSE F#%@!^& INDIANS COME FROM ?" I will try to work on my facts.
