Hi, I just found this web site and am excited about it. Lt Henry Moore Harrington is my great, great grandfather and I am looking for additional information on him because my son just graduated from BCT at Ft. Jackson, SC and is now a soldier. We had always heard the story of my great, great grandfather and how he had "survived" Custer's last stand. My father (Richard Forrest Harrington) and my grandfather (William Forrest Harrington, son of Harry B. Harrington, son of Lt. Harrington) would tell my sisters and me about him and we always wondered if the story was really true. Now not only do we have proof, but it means so much because my son, Pv2 David Forrest Bruce is now in the U.S. Army.
Thank you for any information you can provide me. I do have the book, "Custer's Lost Office" and am sending a copy to my son who is currently in AIT at Ft. Lee...ironically in C Co.
Regards, Janey Forrest Harrington Foster (previously married to Mr. Bruce)

;DFrom one gal to another, welcome! I believe you will really enjoy yourself here! I bet it's exciting( and sad ) to have a relative who actually was part of American history.
