Custer should of iniated the offensive blow at Ford B, keep up the offense, fight , show no fear and don`t hesitate. If I may say so ``shock and awe ``. Bring the troops against the scatterd Cheyenne at the Ford before others regrouped from Reno`s end. Sabres would of been effective. Instead Custer chose to move North and was forced to the hill. Safe was death.Good article about weapons.

Fascinating information. With the weaponry the Indians possessed and the terrain that allowed them to creep close to the soldiers the end was a foregone conclusion!

This is a first rate book on weaponry, the nuts, bolts, and history. Printed in 1880, if GAC had been around, I have no doubt this would have been in his library at FAL. archive.org/details/cu31924030759702

Cutter, it's really amazing how we continuously discuss so many factors regarding how the battle played out but, as you have pointed out, the troops were simply outgunned by the Indians. In fact, this may have been the most deciding factor of all! Excellent job!
