Three of the Stranger's drawings made it into Walt Cross's new book on Verling K Hart! Keep an eye out for it, I don't know if it has been officially released yet. He considers this book to be part of an official or unofficial trilogy of books which also include Custer's Lost Officer and From Little Bighorn to the Potomac. These books are very sharply researched pieces on guys who may have otherwise practically been unknown or less known to us.
Though many folks may have already known somewhat about Harrington, I have every amount of faith to say that this piece on Verling Hart should be absolutely irreplaceable to anyone looking to seek out a fresh face in the world of Custeriana. Were it not for this excellent book that Walt put out, Hart may have forever remained a footnote.
Hats off to master Cross for this spectacular work of history in bringing this man's life to print for future generations to witness.
The Stranger has unfortunately had difficulty reading lately so there are a lot of books I can't enjoy as I once did, but this is high on my priorities or possibly first line of the books that are bringing me back to the fold.
If anyone wants something fresh and new, this is it! Not just because I'm in it, but because you won't find a book like this anywhere else. This is likely gonna be the definitive book on Verling, (or "Verley") Kersey Hart.

Jack Strange has accomplished a wonderful work in his now published "A Strange Look at Custer." This tome is jammed pack with wonderful renditions of art depicting the life and death of Custer and his friends and family. Accompanied by an informative and stirring narrative orchestrated by Dr. Strange and the author Walt Cross.
Strange's illustrations are soulful and and fascinating as they afford the reader a glimpse into a past that no longer exist, hero's, warriors, soldiers, and a host of contributors to this famous battle spring off the pages of this fascinating book into your living room and your hearts.
Your Custer library will not be complete with out this addition!

Now I wonder who helped him quote "write" it to support such confidence in the words wrote, but not the etchings and drawings. ;D

Hey Strange, I finally got your book and man, it's darn good. Your picture of Reno after he was fired spoke for itself. the man looked totally bummed out! Your different poses of Custer gave different reflections of his personality. The man was a lot more complex than I figured him to be!

Dr. Strange is an exceptional interpreter of the "inner-man" and these renditions are as varied and complex as the man himself.
