While I don't agree with you I won't try to change your mind. Once a mind is made up without worrying about facts, little can be done to change already harden cement.

Hmmmmm...are you saying that I could be hard headed? Just because I don't agree with what you say?

I don't believe she's saying anything disrespectful WB. I think that she just realizes that you are a dedicated and ardent student of the battle who refuses to be led astray by facts.

Cute Joe, real cute! I reuse to spend a whole lot of time in a "theory" mode when a lot of facts are out there for any with common sense to see. Why don't you go and write a book so everybody can tell you how smart you are!

Positive leadership can produce spectacular results in war situations that when directed by poor leadership results in complete failure. An example:
"One of the most heroic episodes in Western history took place on September 17, 1868, when fifty-one soldiers commanded by Maj. George A. "Sandy" forsythia were trapped for nine days, on a tiny island in the Republican river by nearly 900 Sioux, Arapaho, and Cheyenne led by the war Chiefs Pawnee Killer and roman Nose."
In this battle Forsyth was initially struck by three Indian bullets but, refused immediate treatment while encouraging his men to fight on. Struck a third time, the Major's skull was fractured. the attending surgeon himself, was also struck in the head trying to tend to the severely wounded Major.
When the Indians finally departed, Forsyth's men were virtually overwhelmed by the stress of the wounded men in near-death agony, the stench of rotting horses, and fast approach starvation.
What inspired these men to fend off charge after charge by the Sioux? Leadership! A valuable commodity sorely lacking in Reno's efforts on June 25Th.
