If I was afforded an opportunity to "advise" a director I would insist that he/she torpedo the "love fest" between Custer and Bloody Knife as Malani suggested. I don't believe that Bloody Knife even liked Custer. BK was often disrespectful towards him and may have secretly harbored a belief that Custer was a Jack A**!

Yeah, I know what you mean. They seem to offer them to anyone without much thought to acting skills or ability. And i'd have to agree with you Joe. I don't think BK and Custer got along all that famously. It was kind of hard to tell where the joking started and the real issues ended.

Thinking about it, I think that the movie, "Son of the Morning Star" came pretty darn close to portraying an acceptable premise as to what happened. I think some pre-battle scenes should have been cut out and replaced with moments of his Civil War career. The character would have been more completed and understandable to the audience.

Good stuff Cutter!
Most of it all looks very well and good but I should point out that I think his Cadet Uniform feels immensely shrunk. Especially considering that Custer was probably a bit heftier when he was younger, he certainly had wider dimensions. The cadet uniform is ridiculously small, so I hope that teaches a lesson to anyone wanting to measure him by his clothes.... that is unless the tag (if there is a tag) corroborates it.

Yup, there has to be a fair amount of shrinkage in clothing given time. Like I had written earlier, I saw George Washington's uniform at the Smithsonian, there would be no way 6'3" Washington could have squeezed into that rig.

If you want to see something amazing, get a gander at the commander's uniform at Fort McHenry, Baltimore Md. It would have been tight for a modern pre-teenager of today.
Gen. Washington must have been a giant when compared to the average size of his era.
